- The Archaeological Survey of India has said it has reconstructed an advisory panel to conduct a multidisciplinary study of the Saraswati River.
- The Saraswati River is also known as the Gagar-Hagra River.
- The group has been restructured to function for the next two years (2021-2023).
- The committee is chaired by Union Culture Minister Prakash Singh Patel.
- The team intends to use remote microscopic images to study environmental changes, archeological and cultural history with in-depth data on the early history of the Saraswati River.
