  • The Mobile Farmers Market program at Thammampatti in Salem was recently launched.
    • The Department of Agriculture has decided to launch this mobile Farmer market program across the state.
  • Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit has appointed retired IAS officer V. Palanikumar as the State Election Commissioner.
    • Mr. Palanikumar will hold office for a period of two years from the date on which he assumes the charge.
  • The Union Finance Ministry has asked the States to split wage payments under the MGNREG scheme from this financial year into Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes and others.

  • Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has found three caves in Buddhist Caves Complex in Nasik, Maharashtra.
    • These Caves have the images of Buddha & Bodhisattvas and sculptures with designs of Indo-Greek architecture.
  • New Zealand was the latest country to sign a space agreement with NASA.
    • New Zealand became the eleventh signatory to the Artemis Accords.
